We have now started a new routine at the Fisher house with school starting.  Half of my children are out of the house, and it feels a little empty.  I am grateful for technology which keeps us up to date with their lives.

I look forward to my calls each Monday with Jacinda.  She is working hard and loving her mission.  I love to hear the stories of the new friends she is teaching.  The latest was of a 15-year-old young man, Desmond.  He will call the sister missionaries over for a lesson, but it appears that he teaches them instead of the other way around.  He will instruct the sisters on the verses he has read, talk about them and then when he feels time is up, he will close the discussion.  This makes Jacinda laugh because it is so backwards to what she is used to.  But she does not stop it.  She embraces it and exercises flexibility.  I am not sure how her companion, sister Porter feels about it.  After numerous phone conversations, it appears that her companion is not as flexible but tries her best.

I am so impressed with Jacinda’s artistic abilities.  She is currently working on a Book of Mormon where our family is drawn on the back and she has highlighted and inserted helpful missionary pointers into the pages.  She is making this as a gift for McCabe to help him while he is on his mission.  I think it is a wonderful idea and would absolutely love one for myself.  But what brings me most joy is how her testimony is being strengthened because she is learning the scriptures better through her actions which are intended to help her brother but secretly her actions are helping her.  BONUS!

McCabe is having a great time at college.  He recently went to a bonfire and had a bunch of girls take a picture with him.  He looks very happy in the photo.  McCabe finished his summer semester and just started fall.  He is getting to know a lot of people and having fun experiences.  He also dyed his hair black because he always wanted to and he found a bottle of hair dye for $7.

McCabe likes to spend his time taking pictures and posting videos on his Instagram account. His skills are improving, and it is amazing to see his creativity at work.  He also works for a stump removal company in Idaho.  He likes it so much, he is making business cards for his boss.

Fozzie is still his cute little self and deals with all our personalities in the Fisher household.  Xadia is one person that constantly keeps an eye on Fozzie.  She reminds me of the bag shaker from “Finding Nemo.”  That poor dog sits and takes whatever she does to him.  Lately, she brushes out his mullet so he has a fro.

Every so often something comes across my feed that is worth sharing.  Here are two items, on about saving and the other about marriage that are worth sharing.

September is a great month.  We finally got our backyard finished and now enjoy the peace and the beauty.  Here is a picture of a sunset from our backyard.

I love stake conference.  Tim and I were able to participate in the choir.  It was the first time that our family did not sit together.  It was odd but I guess that is what happens as the family gets older.  Tim and I were in the choir seats and Xadia and Teagan were in the audience.  I am thankful my children were able to act appropriately.  The messages were great.  One message that stayed with me was asking people what they do for faith?  It is a simple question that engages and politely asks where people go to church or how do they allow Christ in their lives.

My brother Nate got married.  We had the opportunity to attend his wedding in St. George.  It was a small wedding in a backyard.  Mimi and Rox were able to join.  It was fun and we got to stop at a donut shop in Cedar City.  I had to snap a picture of the kids in front of the donut sign.  Whenever we go on a trip, we like to stop for a fun treat.

Xadia got asked to homecoming by a guy named Conrad who goes to Davis High.  I got to make the boutonniere for the dance.  It was my first time making one and it turned out well.  I also got to take the homecoming pictures.  It was a riot because the sun was shining in the group’s eyes.  I had to count to 3 and that was the cue for the kids to open their eyes for the pictures.  Half of the pictures have someone with their eyes closed.  Good times!

Xadia, this next picture is for you.  Don’t ever say I never let you drive the corvette.  You got to drive it home from church and take the long way.  You loved the power of that car and had the biggest smile on your face.

I love my man.  He listens to me and treats me well.  The other day he surprised me with a box of chocolates with and sincere note.  I love him so much and appreciate how he takes care of me.

Teagan is into frontier/trapper clothing.  He found a leather outfit at a store.  Bought it and wore it to school as normal clothing.  There was no spirit day.  I have to give him props, he is his own person.  I love it.  When he wears his outfit and you get 3 feet from him, you can smell the leather.
