Not too much happened this past week.  Tim and I went on a date Saturday night.  We went to the Macaroni Grill but he wait was 40 minutes.  We decided to go elsewhere.  Down the street was Mimi's Cafe.  It had been a while since eating there.  In short, we were very disappointed.  They had changed their menu.  They did not have the quiche Lorraine when I ordered it.  The salad came out drenched in dressing when I asked for it on the side and Tim's burger had crispy toast that broke when you touched it.  The cheese was also not melted was somewhat cold on his patty.  However, the spinach artichoke dip was delicious.  The service was nice.  They were kind and picked up the tab because of all the mishaps.  I thought that was really kind.
Jacinda was working on an assignment this past week.  She had to ask ten questions to get to know each one in the family better.  One of the questions she asked me is, "what are your hobbies or likes?"  I told her, "I like to sing, play piano, look at the stock market, try new recipes, puzzles, and learn about nutrition."  After that good size list, she has the gall to say, "I think you also like to clean because you are always cleaning."  That gave me a good laugh.  I am always cleaning because the kids don't pick up after themselves.  "Oh sweet mysteries of life."

The weather is so crazy.  It has been wicked cold.  We have been experiencing temperatures such as 10 degrees during the day.  I found Xadia and Teagan huddling over a heating vent to stay warm.

Right now it is 48 degrees.  The ice has melted off the driveway.  The increase in temperature is caused by the wind.  It is blowing the cold out and bringing in the warmth.
This past Saturday was so busy.  We went to Cole Pantier's baptism.  He is the son of Tim's co-worker.  While in Lehi, we went to Cabela's.  Tim taught me how to shoot the laser light guns.  We all had a crack at it.  Jacinda was really good.  The kids also tested the camping cots.

After Cabela's, we went to the gun show at the South Towne Expo.  Tim and I window shopped, but the kids went bonkers for stuff.  Jacinda bought a crystal ball with a phoenix etched inside.  She also bought some paracord bracelets for Teagan and Xadia.  McCabe bought a dragon knife for himself and Michael Smith.  I was really impressed how caring McCabe and Jacinda were with others.  They wanted to make sure everyone got something from the show and used their own money.

Happy New Year!  A new day and a new year.  I don't have many goals planned.  I just plan on being a mom and a helper to my children and a good wife to my husband.  We celebrated the new year with an Australian meal.  We had some cheddar dampers (biscuits), anzac biscuits (cookies), tim tams (chocolate cookies), and rissoles (beef patties).  That was our country for 2016.  In 2015 it was Israel and in 2014 it was the Philippines.
Christmas was spent in Texas with the Stubbs.  We had a lot of fun.  We watched "Sing" and went to the Heard Museum.  We also spent a lot of time outdoors fishing or going on walks.  The temperature was in the eighties.  In Utah, the temperature was in the twenties.  We had lots of cousins/nieces visit and we were able to do a temple trip and perform baptisms for the dead.  Amy, Lizzie, and Sydney saw James Roday (Shawn Spencer from Psych) at the airport.  We even got to see my older sister and her family.
I really loved watching the kids play.  They were so kind to each other.  I don't recall any fighting.  It was hard to say goodbye's but the memories will last for a life time.  I love good relationships.
