February belongs to McCabe.  He decided that he did not want a birthday with friends this year.  So we had a family party with the Johnson's and the Lane's.  McCabe chose to have salmon and orange chicken with chocolate cake and moose track ice cream.  I also added a broccoli salad, grapes, rice, and brussel sprouts.  It was a fun gathering.

We also went out Monday night to Texas Roadhouse with Nana Hefner and Dan Burnham.  McCabe got to ride the saddle because he was the birthday boy.  He hated being on the saddle as the restaurant sang to him but lived through the once a year tradition with a begrudging smile.
Teagan really liked the peanuts at Texas Roadhouse.  He kept running to the front door to get more.  I showed him the bucket of peanuts on our table but he insisted on getting them from the front of restaurant.  In the picture below, Teagan is playing with the many peanut shells he cracked open.
Tim and I had an early Valentine's date.  We went to the conference center and enjoyed the roots tech program highlighting Oscar Hammerstein.  The music was wonderful.  I loved being with Tim and hearing the story of the Hammerstein's family history and the music they created.  Tim and I love musicals and they played songs from Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, Carousel, and The King and I.  We left the performance feeling so happy.  I love it when people share good music and good talent.
