November has come and gone.  We spent Thanksgiving in California.  Uncle Dave (Holmes) had his funeral Nov. 25th, the day before thanksgiving.  It was a beautiful service.  I loved hearing the stories about his life.  He was such a good man who loved music from 1960’s.  The Beach Boys was his favorite band.  He also liked sci-fi movies and bad low budget films.  He was a happy man who made everyone feel special.  He always said “happy” before the day.  If it is Monday, he would say, “happy Monday.”  He loved church and his family.  Uncle Dave’s death came as a surprised.  Two years ago, he went into a deep depression after his cancer diagnosis.  He changed mentally and had a hard time dealing with life.  Eventually he took his own life.  It was an eye opener about the seriousness of depression and mental health.

Every Monday we get to talk with Jacinda.  She is in Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.  Her companion is sister Henry who is from Hawaii.  Sister Henry is trying to get used to the cold weather.  16 degrees is very different from 80 degrees.  Jacinda spent her 21st birthday in West Virginia.  She got a picture with a chicken and a fish with a party hat.  She also got to do the gang man style dance with some children.  She was happy and a good sport about her birthday.  We had a good laugh because most 21-year-olds want to go out drinking, not Jacinda.  She parties with chickens and kids.

McCabe has completed his fall semester of college.  He will be living at home for winter semester.  He wanted to go somewhere warm and I guess by default he is ending up at home.  It is good to have him home.  I expect he will go to the gym and hang out with friends who have not left on missions.

Xadia is busy with wrestling.  She had a tournament two weeks ago.  She did so good and took second place.  I loved sitting on the side cheering and ringing my cowbell.  Conrad, Xadia’s friend was next to me and told me I was a good “hype mom.”  I smiled and told him, “thank you.”  Xadia had asked Conrad to the winters dance.  He originally said yes, but then had to back out because his family took a trip to California.  Since Xadia got her driver’s license, I rarely see her.  She is also playing club volleyball.  I got the opportunity to teach Xadia how to make a corsage and a boutonniere for her friends.  She had a good time and said that we were “locked in” as the final product came into view.

Asking Conrad to the dance.

Shopping for her "Winters" dress.

Teagan is big into making soup with the cold weather.  We have made chicken noodle soup and tomato basil.  They both go great with grilled cheese sandwiches.  It was also fun to go to his school choir’s concert.  He sang a song about an ugly sweater.  I love supporting him.  Teagan has a fun personality.  You never know what he is going to do.  The other day, he wanted to do a mud mask with Tim, not with his mom.  When I picked him up on Dec. 16th, he is wearing a Santa hat, flip flops, a Hawaiian shirt, and swim shorts.  He is always full of surprises.

Shout out to Tim who is the best husband in the world.  He works so hard to take care of his family and those around him.  Can't blame him for taking a nap in the massage chair.  Thanks for all the fun times.

Below is the most recent e-mail from sister Jacinda Fisher.

Hi! 👋

(Shout out to my dad for the header)

Header: 21 and legit, watch out Word of Wisdom

It's me, again! First of all, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! 🎂 I'm 21 as of December 12th! The emails and messages really made my day.

Friday was a fun day. God’s hand was definitely in my birthday, because me or Sister Henry did not tell anyone about my birthday, but we celebrated anyways. We had fun buying birthday hats from the dollar store and taking pictures with the hats.

Last week we were teaching about Jesus Christ and the restored gospel. We went to an address to teach and found that it was nothing but a burned trailer. Obviously, the gentleman we were looking for didn't live there but his neighbor said he moved down the street. So we were off! As we drove, we found a very intriguing dog statue (it was a taxidermy dog). After the shock wore off, I took a picture, because I thought it was funny. 🐕

It was time to head back for lunch, BOOM a fish statue was on the side of the road! 🎣 and that morning we had talked about a birthday fish, and I had drawn earlier. So We had found our 'Birthday Fish'! We jumped out of the car, put a birthday hat on the fish and took a picture. 🎉

For dinner, we had a member meal with Sister Burns and her 5 kids. They were so fun, and it came out that it was my birthday. 🫢 So this cute family let me take a picture with their chicken and pig. 🐖🐥

It was the best birthday I could have imagined, for the odd situations me and Sister Henry had found ourselves in. But knowing that we were out teaching about Jesus Christ, and we gave it our all. God made sure we had fun! 😄 🎉

We have been blessed in finding a person each day this week, and giving people The Book of Mormon Another testament of Jesus Christ 💪 Not all of them wanted to give us their number, but they wanted ours. And one of them invited us back tomorrow at twelve. 🤞

I’m excited for this week, and the work! 😁 I love you all and pray for you! 💙🫶

...O Lord, thou hast given us a commandment that we must call upon thee, that from thee we may receive according to our desires.
