Each year Teagan likes to go to FanX.  This year he went as Franky from one piece.  He has such a great time.  He went with Tasha and Kayla, two of Xadia’s friends.  Xadia is not big into FanX as her friends.  I am glad that they all could go and have a great time.

At the end of September was Ben and Brittany Fisher’s wedding.  We got to attend an open house in California.  It was so fun to stay near the beach, eat ice cream every day, visit with family, and play on the public piano in downtown Oceanside.  It is funny how many people recognize hymns or just like to listen to their beautiful melodies.  I am grateful Tim and I can play the piano.  That talent brings peace and joy to many.

At the beginning of October, we celebrated my birthday.  It was so much fun.  We had Ethan’s brother, Jake Stubbs and his young men quorum from Redding California join us for conference weekend and my birthday.  We went to Handel’s ice cream and ate yummy ice cream.  It was so fun to be around everyone.  Birthdays are the best.  It was 18 years ago when I had cancer and did not know if I would see another birthday.  I now cherish each year I get older.  I don’t necessarily enjoy the aging body and all the ailments that come with it, but I do enjoy being with loved ones especially childhood friends.

Xadia also celebrated her 16th birthday with a huge party.  They were supposed to go swimming, but the weather was cold and rainy.  It was the wettest weekend in 150 years.  Some kids braved the weather but most just stayed inside and played jackbox.  There were about 35 kids at our house and Xadia was wiped out the next day.  Her birthday present from the family was a ticket to the Benson Boone concert.  The concert was phenomenal.  I was super impressed with Benson’s performance.  He sounded good live and really enjoyed entertaining the crowd.  I did not know many of his songs but Xadia did and she had a great time cheering, singing, and wearing her glow sticks.  Xadia also got her driver’s license and a little bit more freedom to her name.

Tim has tradition to have one on one time with the kids and take them to Tuacahn to see a play.  Since only two kids are living at home and we had tickets to 3 different plays, Tim took me out on a date.  We got to see the Little Mermaid.  It was wonderful.  The stage was filled with water.  The cast would come out on hoover boards to make it look like they were swimming.  The dancing and singing was so fun.  Tim and I got dressed all snazzy and had a great time.  I like going on dates with my husband.  He treats me so good.

When Tim took Xadia to Tuacahn to watch Newsies, Teagan and I had a mom and son night.  We made pumpkin biscuits, a blueberry pie, and watch some forensic episodes.  I have to rave about Teagan’s blueberry pie.  It was so good.  Everything including the pie crust was made from scratch and he did an excellent job, especially for his first time.  Teagan likes to cook so every chance I get, I will ask him to help me make dinner.  Sometimes it is a competition because he is playing on the computer and he says he will come after his round finishes but most of the time the 5 minute round turns into 30 minutes.

I love to sew.  My latest creation is this red mermaid tail dress.  If I had made is sooner, I would have worn it to the play.  Also, for Halloween I wore another outfit I made out of a curtain.  It is my steampunk time traveler outfit.

Went to a friend’s house for a Halloween party and got a good laugh from their bathroom wall.  I had to take a picture because it was so inspiring.
