Frustration

I want to tell all thanks for the wonderful surprise. When I arrived home from chemo on Wednesday there were meals and a clean house. That made my whole day. Mimi, my sister, went home today. It was so nice having her (I am really going to miss having a maid). Jacinda loved having her because Mimi was so enthusiastic and up beat. I currently lay in bed. I am in a lot of pain. My back and bones hurt. I don't know how people do this, but they get through it somehow.

Your comments have been great. I am glad to see that some of you are paying more attention to lumps and bumps on your body. Thanks for the love and hugs you send it helps knowing there is a wealth of support headed my way.

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

You have all been so wonderful. I am now on the upswing of the chemo side effects. Yes I still hurt somewhat but my new best friend is motrin. My third chemo treatment is Wednesday. I am scared because I hate the side effects, however, my sister Mimi is coming for a few days to help with the kids (I can't thank her enough). I have learned that I cannot handle things all by myself. I am really appreciating all the help especially with watching my kids. Last Friday I had the kids to myself the entire day. I was so worn out by the afternoon, that I had to put McCabe in his crib (though he was not tired) and Jacinda got to watch 2 movies. McCabe eventually cried himself to sleep and I got a 45 minute nap. When I woke, Jacinda was not watching the movie. She was downstairs playing. She pointed out that a package had come while I was asleep. Being the big girl she is, she had opened the door and accepted it from some fed ex person. I learned that next time engage the safety chain on the door before napping.

Here is a picture of my new hairdo.

We are Back

Disneyland was a blast!! I over did it. Monday was Disneyland, Tuesday was California adventure, and Wednesday was the Hospital. I had a fever and had to make sure that my white blood cell count was high enough to fight the infection. After 4.5 hours in the hospital all was well and I was released.

I have not been feeling really well. At the moment my stomach really hurts. I had my second chemo treatment on Sunday. All I wanted to do for the next 3 days was sleep (and I pretty much did). My hair is falling out. So I got it shaved. I look like a 15 year old boy. It is really not my style, nevertheless, Tim says I can really pull off the look. Tim also got his head shaved in support of me. We asked Jacinda if she wanted her head shaved also and she said, "no."

I want to thank you for the contributions to the medical fund account. That is helping out a lot especially with the unintentional hospital visits. God Bless
